MRSM Robofair National Level 2006 7th-10th August at MRSM Taiping

By Pn Musalmah Yusof Secara umum: Buat pertama kali Taiping telah dipilih untuk menganjurkan robofair ini yang mana telah disertai oleh 13 buah maktab lain, juga terdapat 20 maktab lain sebagai pemerhati yang mana selepas ini mereka juga diwajibkan menyertai. Secara umumnya setiap maktab boleh menghantar max 5 teams. Taiping menghantar 5 teams Proses pertandingan: 4 kagetori iaitu robot adventure, stairs climbing, tug of war n city of environment. Dikatakan proses/procedure robofair ni mengikut piawaian dari Korea. Setiap team diberi robokit/lego set yang sama n pakej aplikasinya adalah robolab. Sebelum pertandingan peserta diberi masa 2 jam untuk buat robot, lepas siap masuk kuarantin(sbb x nak kasi org repair2 masa org lain lawan). Untuk robot dventure n city of environment guna sensor cahaya, jln atas track(line hitam) ada halangan2 n mesti sampai penamat. Tug of war lawan tarik tali, weight less than 1kg. Siapa pandai reka robot yang body kuat boleh menang. Keputusan pemenang:Stairs Climbing 1st n 2nd goes to Taiping. City of environment 1st place also Taiping. Overall winner, of course la Taiping:) (Videos removed by admin because of legal issues. Please contact Puan Musalmah for them!) Secara peribadinya: Mula2 cg Saadah (math. head dept) ckp"Musalmah, awak kena buat montaj utk majlis penutup, nanti saya bagi surat lantikan, buat elok2 tau".I said "k". Actually video ni panjang lagi 9 mins, tp file ni to big so terpaksa dipendekkan. Ini kali kedua buat video klip kasi sumer org tgk,..berdebor juga masa show tu beberapa pengarah dari h/quarters dtg. Lagipun buat keje sensorg, ada pun student tlg masa tutup lampu dlm hall, kasi gelap sikit. FYI dlm main hall ada big screen tgh2 stage, very2 big kalah kedai mamak 24 jam tu. No me in this v.klip, just my car jer awal tu..hmm. next time wat video muka sendiri lak. Cerita masa proses penghasilan. Last scene petang kul 5, pas tu balik amik anak kt nursery anta umah cousin(nk buat keje editing). Original video tu ada 40++ min, so cut it short jadi dlm 9++ mins. Mlm tu kul 9++ ada rehearsel..so siapkan cepat2, test kt dlm hall..hmm, test punya test, mula2 set lagu jepun, tgk sumer org cam x paham jer,ok. Balik dlm kul 10.30mlm gi amik anak, balik umah plan tukar lagu. Pikir punya pikir, kena taruk lagu rancak..hmm tapi lagu apa?..takkan nak taruk lagu dewa-sedang ingin bercinta!..lagu eng x byk dlm pc, cari2 jumpa yg ni jer, so tulah lagunye. Klu ikutkan,shoot mmg bad, cos x guna tripod. Byk gerak2 sana sini, ntah apa2 lagi. Focus pun x ingat, nak besor jadi kecik n sebaliknye. Masa abis closing ceremony tu,boss(pengetua) lalu depan sambil sentuh tgn i dia kata"Musalmah, beres!.." dalam hati (BERES!, teringat lagu kru-gerenti beres). Ok, itulah saja cerita disebalik tabir the making of this. komen la apa2, boleh repair lain kali, yg lain pulak ler.

Pic dgn ustaz Naza, bukan pasal apa masa tu kt lab, dia tugas kat situ (robofair), so x nak nampak obvious sgt amik pic sensorg tu yg panggil dia.

At my desk, bunga tu b/day present. Tu la rupa my desk(bila le nk gi ofis baru), also my own lovely pc..haha.

Wah3! Bijak nye peserta2 tu! Memang kreatif la.. Best tgk. Diorg diberi mase 2 jam? Buat dlm mase tu ke? Walaupn dh plan awal2, tapi bagus betul la dpt wat robot yg cm tu dlm 2 jam. Kalau dpt tgk kt sane life kn best.. Dah x de baru bende2 ni sume nk buat kt mktb.

Mesti diorg plan dgn cikgu diorg awal2 kn? X kn la sume buat sndiri. Or memang buat sndiri? Pandai betul students yg buat robot tu, kalau suro saye ni yg buat, hei.. Ntah ape la yg jadi nanti. Nasib baik Tpg menang bnyk.. You're the best!!

Nice video! Congrats to the winners and especially to the teachers who must be working very hard in making the event a success and at the same time helping the students in their competition.

menjawab kepada soalan naim dan anonymous:..lego set tu mmg diaorg dah dpt awal n diorag dah practice, cuma diorg x tau original track n some other condition..cthnya yg tarik tali tu diorg buat robot berat 350g masa training tp masa lwn dah tukar 1kg..software yg diguna robolab tu..prog dlm pc pas tu transfer guna infrared ke..apa ek x tau nama mende tu

Ni komen pengadil(pensyarah fac. engine, u mana x ingat ada 3 org): they have 2 design robot base on this:1) reduce vibration 2) low centre of gravitiy 3) design experiment to identify lower n upper range sensor value

Bagus ni pertandingan mcm ni. Kat sini tiap tahun ada pertandingan gini untuk pelajar high school dengan middle school.

selepas cg pergi lawatan ke raffles instituition di s'pura...waa diaorg punya robofair dah no.4 world...kita baru nk buat 1st time...tapi takpe, kita juga mampu satu ari nanti

Wah. pegi Raffle's College ke cikgu Musalmah? Hebat tu college tu. I have 5-6 friends who used to study there and they were among the best people I've ever met: study-wise and network-wise.

We have a lot to learn from them.
