Salam Maaf. Manusia 2: OK. Dah siap. Aku: Terima kasih. Aku keluar dengan mengerutkan dahi. Manusia 3: -Cina -60++ tahun -Seorang pekedai buku Aku: Hye Auntie Manusia 3: Hye.. Aku: Saya nak photostat result spm ni lima salinan. Manusia 3: wokeh Manusia 3 terkial-kial mengendalikan mesin photostat itu demi memenuhi permintaan aku. Manusia 3: OK siap. Wooo.. Lu manyak pandai yaa.. Aku: Owh.. Terima kasih Auntie. Manusia 3: Heh.. Apa tu congratz dalam bahasa melayu? Aku: Owh.. Tahniah.. Manusia 3: OK OK Tahniah la.. (menyebut dengan begitu sukar, kosa kata baru) Aku: Thank you Auntie Manusia 3: Lepas ni mana lu mau belajar? Aku: Tak tau lagi auntie.. MAnusia 3: Owh.. OK la.. Lu blaja baik-baik Aku: OK Auntie.. Thank you.. Bye..

Actually, maybe it depends on the person la. Maybe diorg too busy, buat kerja n maybe (I don't know la) sekolah ko pegi tu dh biase dh budak result gempak cam ko. Like me, aku minta pengesahan kat Kuala Kangsar, sekolah menengah raja muda musa, pengetua die kawan mak+bapak aku. So bukan setakat sembang2, siap ajak gi jamuan lagi satu family. Hahahaha.
    Tapi tak nafikan, mentaliti mempengaruhi.......

Ya lah.. I think it does depend on the person, but in a way it does reflect "mentaliti orang kita" who... I dunno... are maybe not as appreciative of education as others? Haha! But quite true, you know...

    mee_ore,
sekolah tu sekolah biase2 je. Diorang punye target kalau ade xm ialah nak lulus. Lagipun mak aku pun mengajar kat skolah tu :)

depend on person? Hmm.. ntah le..

ye ke chinese lagi peramah? I think that suits their seniors and pekedai. teenager diorgs x sgt, kite kene tegur dulu.(kot, mase kat plkn).... ;)

i agree la..chinese n indians lebey friendly la thru my experience(me n ma fren d only malay in class!)even i'm quiet in class also dorg still tegur gk..mayb dorg lebey open minded kut..even the gurls..dats y i wus quite shock bile tgk gurls kat tepeng tue.cam pmalu gile..sory,no offense tu anybody..but,dlm kes tue, yaa, chinese tue peniaga la..of coz la kena being frenly..i think it's only fair kalu compare with the same league la..my principal is chinese..honestly he;s not that friendly!huh, silap sket je sure kena bantai rotan huhu i shall say depends on individual too..we're malay have our own etiquette..we've to proud of it..if not us,who else??..erm..

    petikan blog afdlin shauki
    - i got an update for you ... i am melayu and proud of it, and....

    okay, interesting...
reminds me of an episode of scrubs...the doctor was so mad at his patient because he didnt even say 'thank you' after he saved his life.
but the patient said, "it's your job. why should i thank you? i am a garbageman...i take your garbage everyday. do you thank me for that?"

my point is...if you think malay is unfriendly, why cant you (as a malay) change this, be the one who starts the conversation, like that chinese auntie....

perhaps, if the person who asked for the signature said something to the principal, or to the kerani first, he would also feel good, perhaps even better than the feeling he got after being congratulated from the auntie.

perhaps, the case here, melayu dont have the guts to initiate...not about being friendly or not...rude or not...
