I've recently been reminded of this very funny show that used to be shown on (the now defunct) Channel i on Singaporean television. It's called Goodness Gracious Me, a half-hour show of sketches by some really talented British Indians spoofing all things British, Indian, and British Indian, produced by the BBC. Unfortunately, though, the show has stopped with three seasons, although similar shows, one of which was called the Kumars at number-something-something or something, have been produced (in my opinion with lesser success). In fact, I have a feeling that Goodness Gracious Me helped in boosting the recent obsession of the British film industry to produce cliched films centred around British Indian characters. The last time I watched this show, I think I was in the lower Forms of secondary school. I don't think I got some of their more mature "jokes" until now. Anyway, I searched for Goodness Gracious Me on Youtube and what do you know, they had a "few" clips of the show on the internet. So, for your viewing pleasure (warning : the third clip contains mild "British" vulgarity) :

never like them. wonder why people watching . happy when not showing. oh well, we have different taste.
i suppose they can be quite dry and repetitive, and, umh, "PG-rated" at times, but i like their more novel, exaggerrative jokes though.
